Peavey Butcher
There are two notable features about this amp.
1)The standby switch does not switch the plate off. Instead it uses the screen of the power tube to mute the amp.
2) The frequency response of the EV speakers is better than most folk's stereo speakers.
The speakers have a voice coil resonant response at 15KHz. Most guitar speakers only have the resonant frequency response in the 80Hz to 120Hz range. Eddie Van Halen wanted hi-fidelity speakers for this signature amp and these speakers and the enclosure deliver.
