Amps

These are actual amps that I had in my shop. The data I collect is intended to enable me to understand why they sound like they do and to actually clone one. By "clone", I do not mean buying parts and putting one together.

I collect data and perform an engineering analysis of all the parts to determine how to "clone the sound" the original units made. I want to step back in time and hear how the amp sounded when played by the musician when they first bought the unit.  I bias new amps like the original. The bias might not be "by the technical publication" but it will be as the factory set it. Most power tubes were never matched and all the parts were simply the cheapest the manufacturer could buy to maximize their profit. Buying the same low-spec parts is a key to "cloning the sound".

I publish schematics of amps based on data that I have in my database. I have drawn the schematics based on the data that I have collected.
